Eligible Occupations
The Provincial Nominee Program is designed to encourage the economic growth and development of different regions of Canada by addressing specific labor market and demographic challenges. It allows provinces and territories to have a say in selecting immigrants who can contribute to their local communities and economies. Work Experience
When you submit your application, and when the AAIP assesses it, you must have been employed full-time (a minimum of 30 hours per week) by an approved Tourism and Hospitality employer. This employment must have lasted for at least six consecutive months (or a minimum of 780 hours) by the time of your application.
Job Offer
When submitting your application and during the AAIP’s assessment, you must have a valid full-time job offer or employment contract from a legitimate and verified Alberta employer.
Language Requirements
- A minimum of 4 in each English language skill, or
- A minimum of 4 in each French language skill.

Education Requirements
When submitting your application, it is mandatory for applicants educated outside of Canada to have completed an education that is at least equivalent to Canadian high school standards.
You are required to provide a copy of an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for your highest level of education, issued by an organization designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This assessment must verify that your foreign educational credentials are equivalent to the completion of Canadian high school. If your ECA report indicates that your credentials do not meet this standard, or if it states that your foreign educational institution is not recognized, you do not fulfill the education requirement.
